The WEF Foundation has developed a comprehensive plan for the month of May that comprises multiple initiatives to raise awareness about caregiving and its associated costs. The plan includes conducting informative expert interviews, participating in community events, and lobbying for legislation to create a tax credit for caregiving.

To this end, the Foundation will be present at the California Advocacy Day on May 8th in Sacramento, where volunteers from across the state will join forces to advocate for the proposed legislation. The WEF Foundation will also participate in the African American Family Reunion Committee’s 33rd Annual Juneteenth Festival and Parade on June 17th, and the WEF singers will perform at the event.

In addition, the Foundation has organized informative expert interviews with Lisa Jackson from World Finance, who will discuss long term care insurance, and Reverend Carolyn Dyson from Secure Transitions, who will talk about finding adequate caregiving costs and expanding access to early diagnosis screening, as well as training for first responders and officers on how to approach individuals suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s.

The WEF Foundation’s plan for the month of May is aimed at addressing the pressing issue of caregiving and its associated costs, and we encourage all interested individuals to participate in our initiatives.
